THE SHORT VERSION
After crawling, Google analyses page content and may store information in its index. Not every processed page is indexed. An indexed page is also not guaranteed to appear for a particular search. Source: Google Search Central: How Search works
Investigate the specific page
Ask the website team to record the indexing status, selected canonical address and any exclusion reason for the URL being reviewed. Compare those findings with the page’s intended purpose. This gives the next action a clear basis instead of treating every absence from search as the same issue.
Check usefulness as well as access
Review whether the page answers a distinct question and whether its content is complete, accurate and accessible. Keep the evidence with the editorial review. This brings technical checks and content quality into the same decision without promising that a change will secure indexing.
