About Brightsun Travel

Brightsun Travel sells flights to the travel trade and to the public. Travel agents book its fares on BTRes, its business-to-business booking site, while consumers book flights, holidays, hotels, cruises and tours through brightsun.co.uk. The business is run by Brightsun Travel (UK) Limited from Hounslow in west London, with further offices in Manchester and in Gurugram, India.

Brightsun says it was founded in Soho, London, in 1986 as a small family-owned business. It says it holds contracts with all major international airlines, mainly serves UK-based customers travelling to long-haul destinations and has more than 230 staff across its offices.

Brightsun Travel (UK) Ltd holds ATOL 3853 and is an ABTA member (K1888). The company says it won a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2025.
