About Carnect

Carnect is a car rental distributor for the travel trade, based in Hamburg, Germany. It is part of HBX Group, the group behind Hotelbeds, and its legal entity is MicronNexus GmbH. Carnect says it is now a pure B2B organisation, focused on helping its client partners grow their car rental business.

It brings together cars from global and local rental companies, with car types from budget to premium. Carnect says it offers more than 500 car rental companies in 170 countries. In 2018, Hotelbeds Group named Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Alamo and Enterprise among Carnect’s rental partners. As well as standard rates and extra insurance, Carnect offers inclusive rates sourced from the rental companies, which it says carry no add-ons for fuel, damage waiver or theft protection.

Carnect says it was founded in 1999. The business became part of what is now HBX Group in 2007 and rebranded as Carnect in 2014.
