About Gold Medal

Gold Medal says it sells worldwide holidays exclusively through the UK travel trade. From its base in Leyland, Lancashire, it supplies package holidays, scheduled flights, hotels, car hire, tours and excursions to independent travel agents. Its flights include a selection of specially negotiated fares with exclusive selling periods and reduced rates.

Its tailor-made holidays cover long-haul destinations including the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, Dubai and Arabia, the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Far East and Australasia, with cruise and stay, escorted touring, car hire and motorhomes. Its sister trade brands include Pure Luxury, Cruise Plus and Incredible Journeys.

Gold Medal is run by Gold Medal Travel Group Limited, a company incorporated in 1978. In February 2014 it was bought from Thomas Cook Group plc by dnata, part of the Emirates Group, and a dnata holding company owns 75% or more of it. Gold Medal Travel Group Limited holds ATOL 2916 and is an ABTA member (V6805). The company says it has supplied the independent trade for more than 40 years.
