About Holiday Extras

Holiday Extras is a UK travel extras company based in Hythe, Kent. It sells airport parking, airport hotels and airport lounges, along with airport transfers, travel insurance, holiday car hire, UK short breaks and UK port parking. It sells direct to travellers and through travel trade partners, and says it helps more than 8 million travellers a year.

Gerry Pack founded the business in 1983 as the Apple Booking Company, and it says it initially worked solely with travel agents. It launched its consumer website in 2000 and rebranded as Holiday Extras in 2006. Holiday Extras says it is employee-owned through an employee benefit trust, alongside its management team and the Pack family, and it describes itself as an independent company. In March 2024 its Airparks brand opened a car park near Munich Airport.
