About Major Travel

Major Travel is a trade-only tour operator, flight consolidator and bed bank. It says it does not deal with the public, with no consumer website, no consumer advertising and no direct sales team. The company, Major Travel PLC, gives its head office as Boundary Row, London SE1.

Major Travel says it offers inclusive tour (IT) fares across most major airlines for packaged travel, plus complex and round-the-world itineraries. It also supplies hotels through direct contracts, self-catering villas including in Florida, cruises, group and private tours, car hire, transfers, attraction tickets, city passes and rail passes. It sells full packages built on low-cost airlines too, including Ryanair.

The company says it was founded in 1974 by the Widdowson family in Kentish Town, London, selling flights and holidays mainly to the USA and Canada. It says that in 2017 it grew from a flight specialist into a creator of complex, multi-centre itineraries and long-haul tours. Companies House shows that its parent, Alliance Travel Holdings Ltd, has been more than 50% owned by Inteletravel UK Holdings Limited since 16 May 2024. Major Travel holds ATOL 2933 and is an ABTA member (Y6455).
