THE SHORT VERSION
The Co-op Travel Consortium brings together independent retail agents, call centres and homeworking travel businesses. Its members trade under their own brands. The published offer includes supplier agreements, business support and back-office services, with a management-fee model described on its membership website. Use your own sales mix
Ask for a proposal based on the kinds of holidays and suppliers you expect to sell. Check the management fee and any additional charges against those bookings. This gives you a more useful comparison than applying one headline percentage to an unrealistic sales forecast.
Check the support you will use
Choose three routine tasks that currently take time, such as supplier reconciliation or preparing marketing material. Ask the team to show how its services would handle them. Record the answer alongside the costs so the comparison includes practical value as well as price.
