THE SHORT VERSION
ONE Order is an IATA standard designed to replace separate passenger name records, e-tickets and electronic miscellaneous documents with a single integrated order record. It aims to simplify airline reservation, delivery and accounting processes. It describes an industry transition, rather than confirming that every airline already uses it. Source: IATA: ONE Order
Ask what works in the current connection
When a supplier describes its ONE Order plans, ask which booking and servicing functions are available today through the connection you would use. Request a demonstration. This gives the team evidence of current capability rather than relying on a future roadmap.
Follow a booking through a change
Test where staff find the reference, purchased services and updated documents after an amendment or cancellation. Include the finance team in the review. This helps identify how the proposed order process fits the work needed after the original sale.
