IN SHORT

Where cruise quoting fits

Quick Quote’s cruise search can bring itinerary, ship and cabin content into a proposal. The published walkthrough explains how to search by cruise line, ship, port, region or month.

This page covers cruise content and quoting. It does not promise live cabin allocation, a held fare or an automatic cruise-line reservation. Confirm those steps for the supplier and selling process you intend to use.

From a sailing search to a useful conversation

Start with the customer’s dates, preferred departure port and the experience they want. Use the search to shortlist sailings, then explain why the proposal fits. This gives the adviser a reason for the recommendation beyond a headline fare.

The cruise import walkthrough describes bringing in itinerary, ship and cabin information. A recent cruise-line price may be included; otherwise you add the price. Keep a note of when you checked it so the next adviser knows what needs refreshing.

A cabin option is a choice in the quote

The quote builder shows a cruise with departure dates and cabin choices, and the quote total following the customer’s selection. The image on this page is from that published product walkthrough. Its example prices and dates are illustrative, not bookable offers.

Before sending, check occupancy, cabin category, fare inclusions, deposit and balance dates. These are recommended sales checks: they help the customer compare like with like and help your team explain a later price change.

Make the booking route explicit

Ask your account manager and supplier to walk through cabin confirmation, payment and the supplier reference. Record which steps happen in Travelgenix and which happen in the supplier’s own system. That avoids presenting a proposal as a confirmed reservation.

Do the same for a cabin change or cancellation. Confirm who checks the applicable conditions, who requests the action and where the result is recorded. Hotel, flight and cruise items may have separate handling requirements; establish the process for your actual itinerary.

A useful acceptance check

Choose one representative sailing and follow it through with your team. Keep the original quote, the checked supplier price, the accepted customer choices and the confirmed reservation details together in your test record. Use an agreed test environment or a supplier-approved process before making any real reservation.

The purpose is to prove the handover your team will use every day. A polished proposal is valuable only when the booking steps behind it are understood.

WHAT YOU GET

Build the proposal around the whole trip

Use the documented quoting tools, then check the commercial details with the supplier.

Find the sailing

Search the cruise catalogue using the line, ship, departure port, region or month. Check the itinerary suits the enquiry before adding it.

Explain the cabin choice

Show the available quote options with the differences that matter to your customer. An option in a quote does not reserve that cabin.

Add the wider itinerary

Quick Quote supports flight, hotel, transfer and activity items alongside a cruise. Check how each item will be supplied and booked.

Keep control of costs

Record item costs and review the quote margin. Confirm what the supplier price includes before you send the proposal.

HOW IT WORKS

A sensible cruise demo to request

1

Bring a real enquiry

Choose a sailing and a customer brief that reflect what you sell. This tests whether the available content is useful to your advisers.

2

Build two options

Compare cabin choices and add a pre-cruise stay. Review the dates, inclusions and total in the customer view.

3

Prove the reservation handover

Ask who confirms the cabin, fare and booking reference, and how changes return to the customer record.

PLANS AND PRICING

Agree the right setup

Quick Quote is listed on Ignite and Bespoke. Check the current pricing page and ask your account manager about activation, cruise content and your supplier booking process.

QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered

Does Quick Quote reserve the cruise?

This page documents cruise search and proposals. Treat reservation, payment and supplier confirmation as separate checks unless your agreed setup explicitly supports them.

Can I include flights and hotels?

Quick Quote supports those item types alongside a cruise. Confirm their prices, conditions and booking routes before presenting the trip as ready to book.

Are imported cruise prices guaranteed?

No. The import walkthrough says a recent cruise-line price may be available; otherwise you add a price. Recheck the applicable fare and availability before taking a booking.

What should I test before launch?

Follow a real sailing from search to supplier confirmation, then a change or cancellation scenario. Record the owner and system for each step.
