A single supplement is an additional charge for sole use of accommodation that is otherwise priced on the basis of sharing.

A single supplement is an extra charge for having accommodation to yourself where the base arrangement assumes sharing. Intrepid, for example, offers single supplements on eligible trips, with exceptions for some accommodation. The operator’s trip information explains the arrangements that apply. Confirm exactly what is included

Ask which nights are covered, what room type is supplied and whether any shared accommodation remains. Record the answer beside the itinerary. This gives the traveller a clear picture of what the extra payment secures throughout the trip.

Show the complete price

Present the supplement alongside the total holiday price and confirm availability before describing the room as secured. If a quoted arrangement changes, explain the revised option before booking. This helps someone compare the cost and accommodation on the same basis.
