LUNA CONTRACTING
LIVE
Hotels, villas, cars, transfers, attractions, tours, coaches, trains and flights.
Eight product families, one way of working, one price engine and one booking flow underneath. Each family is a real, separate engine with its own vocabulary, not a hotel product with the labels changed.

Illustrative account. Every family shares the same seasons, extras, stop sales and booking flow.
Accommodation: hotels, villas and apartments.
Pricing is night by night, so a stay crossing two seasons is billed at each season’s own money. Children are priced by real age band, then by a rule that can be free, a fixed amount or a percentage of the adult rate, recalculated per night. Supplements carry four independent scopes at once: room type, season, party size and their own date band.
Multi-room baskets take two doubles and a twin with these children in each and price them as one, or take the whole party and work out which room splits fit, cheapest first, without selling the same physical room twice. Up to nine rooms in a booking.
Allocations, stop sales, physical rooms and room closures, kept separate from the contract

Car hire: rental tiers and seasons, together.
A rate row carries a minimum and maximum number of days, so 1 to 3 days prices differently from 7 or more. The tier is chosen from the whole rental length, then each rental day is priced at its own season and summed. A rental not fully covered by loaded rates is refused rather than part-charged.
Stations, then vehicles with ACRISS codes and plain-English categories, transmission, fuel, seats, doors, bag counts, fuel policy, mileage policy and excess. Extras from a list of 13 on five charge bases.
Driver age is a real gate, not a note
One pick-up station per contract; a one-way rental is a fee line
Compulsory extras go into the quoted total, pay-locally ones are disclosed

Transfers: each leg priced the right way round.
Points of seven types, routes between them with distance and duration, vehicles in nine classes with passenger and luggage limits. Direction-aware pricing, so the airport-in and resort-out legs price differently and a return pairs the right rate to each leg automatically.
Date surcharges stack and apply before markup, so a Christmas Eve uplift raises your cost and your sell price together instead of inflating your reported margin. A rule with no dates and no weekdays matches nothing, so a half-finished rule can never become an always-on uplift.

Attractions and events: every variant is just an option.
An option is one variant. A zoo has a day ticket, a theme park has 1-Day, 3-Day and 3-Day Park Hopper, a sightseeing bus has 24, 48 and 72 hour passes. Each option has an entry type, a validity window, an activation rule and a daily ticket cap, with the valid-until date worked out for the buyer.
Group and family bundles are priced as a single unit alongside per-person types, with a structured composition such as two adults and two children. Sales-channel pricing, online versus gate, exists here and nowhere else in the product.

Tours: dated departures that know their own status.
Everything attractions have, plus duration, start and end points, a day-by-day itinerary, inclusions and exclusions, group size limits, minimum age, deposit and balance terms and a banded cancellation ladder. Options become room bases and ticket types become traveller types.
Five departure statuses let a website tell the difference between on request, closed and cancelled, so you can offer an enquiry form instead of a dead Book button. Pick a date range and the weekdays and every departure is created with the return date and the right season already attached.

A coach that knows which ship it is meeting.
A route has a direction, an operator, a vehicle type, a seat count, the terminal every fare is priced to, and a sell window. Pick-up points are ordered stops with a board time and an exact address. The fare grid is one row per pick-up point and one column per passenger type, so Cardiff at £34.50 and Barry at £27.60 are the same coach on the same day. The customer picks their leg by choosing where they get on.
A dated coach run carries the sailing it feeds: sailing name, ship name, voyage reference and the paired return coach date. One booking claims seats on both legs atomically. If the return is sold out the outbound claim is released and the whole hold is refused, so no booking is ever left half made. That is running in production today, with 231 departures carrying real sailings.
Named seat maps with priced zones: standard, extra legroom, first
Seat-fill alerts to the operator at 50% and 75% sold, on API confirmations
Runs on the operator’s local date, so a coach does not stay bookable between midnight and 1am in summer

Trains: the coach model applied to rail.
Services with boarding stations in order of travel, departure times, per-seat fares from each station to the destination, named seat maps with priced zones and dated departures. Shipped, tested and complete, ready for the first rail contract.
Boarding stations in order
Each with a departure time and a fare to the destination.
Named seat maps
Priced zones, blocked seats and per-seat overrides, like coaches.
Dated departures
Capacity, sold seats and the same paired-return logic.
Flights: contracted block seats, not a live GDS feed.
Airlines, airports, aircraft with seat maps, routes marked direct or connecting, legs with flight numbers and their own operating seasons and weekdays. Fares price per route, cabin, passenger type and season, with a separate tax amount and carrier surcharge that pass straight through at cost. Markup applies to the base fare only, so margin is calculated on the fare rather than the whole ticket.
Capacity comes from the seat map, so the contracted block counts itself down, and every seated passenger is given a named seat even if the booker does not pick one. Connecting itineraries are built from the leg schedules with minimum connection times enforced.

Questions people ask
Is a coach really a different engine from a hotel?
Yes. A coach has pick-up points, a fare grid per stop, a seat map and dated departures that carry the sailing they feed. A hotel has rooms, seasons, night-by-night rates and child age bands. The seasons, extras, stop sales and booking flow are shared underneath.
Can we load trains?
Yes. Every train feature is built, tested and live in the loader. It is ready for the first rail contract.
Do flights connect to an airline system?
No. Flights are contracted block seats and negotiated fares, loaded by hand or by spreadsheet. Capacity comes from the seat map you build.
Can one contract price in more than one currency?
Each contract prices in its own currency and the engine never converts. Live contracts in two different currencies are flagged on the readiness panel.
